One Source Everywhere, or a Different One in Every Room.

Distributed audio: zones, sources and amplifiers planned so the music follows you.

A house, zoned.

Whole-home audio system installation starts with a plan: every room a zone with its own level, every zone fed from one rack out of sight.

The rack

The same song, from the kitchen to the pool.

  1. A woman holding a phone that shows a music app

    Morning

The playlist starts in the kitchen from a phone, quiet enough to talk over.

  2. A daybed at the edge of a pool, a small speaker set into its timber base

    Afternoon

The same song follows you out to the pool, from a speaker set into the base of the daybed.

  3. A woman in a red dress seated at a dining table under a ring of lights, a touch panel on the wall beside her

    Dinner

The dining room settles to its own level, while another room plays something else entirely.

  4. A Basalte Ellie touch panel showing a music library

    Night

One last song in the primary suite. Every other room has already gone quiet.

Three ways to build a whole-home audio system.

The music is the same on all three. The platform is chosen for the rest of the house it will run.

  1. A hand holding a tablet playing music, a cup of coffee beside it

    Savant Music

Multi-room streaming through the Savant app, with Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music in every zone.

Homes where every person has their own playlist and profile.

  2. A black rack amplifier with a line of front-panel indicator lights

    Control4 with its own amplification

Control4's own in-ceiling, in-wall and landscape speakers, with rack amplifiers that stream and power every zone.

Whole-home systems that grow room by room.

  3. A double-height living room with a screen on a stone wall and discreet speakers set into the ceiling

    Crestron DM NAX

Networked multi-zone streaming amplifiers that carry music to every room over the home network.

Estates that want one engineered system, from the speaker to the control.

How many zones can a distributed audio system have?

As many as the house has rooms, and the terrace too. Each room is a zone with its own level, and the control platforms we design on scale from a single room to the whole property, so more zones can join the same system later.

Can each person play something different?

Yes. A distributed audio system lets you play the same thing everywhere, or something different in every space, all from one system. Each room is chosen from your phone, a keypad, a remote or a touch panel.
